Joe Goode Performance Group presents, Behind-the-Scenes of Hush, a weekend of intimate work-in-progress showings and discussion from choreographer and artistic director's, Joe Goode’s newest project, Hush, set to premiere at Z Space in the fall of this year. Take an inside look into the creation of Hush with a chance to hear directly from Goode, the collaborators and the dancers about how this new work is unfolding. A collaboration with sound effects artist Sudhu Tewari and musician/composer Ben Juodvalkis, Hush combines personal stories, dance, visuals, and innovative ambient sound techniques drawn from Foley filmmaking to explore the various ways in which we are “hushed” by society. In Behind-the-Scenes of Hush Goode and Tewari will examine the interplay between live and recorded sound effects, external commentary, and song/movement. Hush is co-produced by Z Space and will premiere at Z Space September 26-October 6, 2013. |
